Well, spring break was definitely a success for me. I got home around midnight on Thursday, exhausted, but happy to be home! Oh how I've missed Colorado!!! The dry weather, the friendly people, my family and home, organic produce and so many different restaurants, and especially the mountains! I don't think people fully understand what it feels like to wake up everyday and see the mountains or watch the sun set behind them.
For the most part, I hung out with mom since dad was out on a business trip for the majority of the time home. This trip home was really about my rest week. I've been having some problems with my right hip joint that has only gotten worse. I went to my PT (Vertical Motion in Evergreen...that's right. A little advertising here!) and he gave me some exercises and stretches to do for a bit. I think that being in PT school has made me somewhat of a bad patient since I "know" what to do anyway. I'm working on it tho!
Mom and I were able to go on a little bike ride, which was nice and hilly! It was fun, tho, and I learned how to change my tire and tube thanks to REI. So that was a much needed educational moment in case that happens during the race! Hopefully not tho! Beemer was able to have tons o' fun at dog parks and walks (but no off-leash walks since Lakewood is strict on their leash laws). I also went to my favorite store in the world: The Boulder Running Company. Yay for new running shoes! Even though I have yet to try them out...perhaps today I will take them for a test run. In case you people don't know, the BRC is the best place to buy running shoes (yet another advertisement!).
But now, I'm back in BoMO. Such joy...but I'll be going back home in May. So close, yet so far! Check out the "Trifecta of Pics" tab for more!
